Why is the Student Web Service
not available 24 hours a day?
Our long-term goal is to have the Student Web Service in operation 24
hours a day. To this end, we have recently increased the number of
normal hours of operation during weekdays and, on weekends, the SWS
is now available around the clock. We will continue to do the work
needed to enable us to reach our goal.
I am having difficulties using
the service and the University is closed. What can I do?
Please review your registrar's instructions for using the Student Web
Service. If you send an e-mail message to your registrar through the
Feedback Form, your registrar's office
will respond when the University re-opens.
What browsers do you
support?
Most of our testing is done with
Mozilla Firefox
(version 1.5 and above), Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 6 and above),
and elinks (version 0.11 and above).
SWS is designed to put as little demand on the
browser as possible, but we do require that SSL security be used.
If a browser is unable to use SSL we do NOT accept a log in.
If you are experiencing a problem with a browser that we support, please send us the information using the feedback button. If the problem is with an unsupported browser, all we can recommend is that you upgrade your browser to one that we do support.
How can I find my friend at
the University of Toronto?
The University of
Toronto Contacts or the Alumni & Friends
pages may be of use to you. Otherwise, we
regret that we are unable to help you. The Policy
on Access to Student Academic Records states that student
contact information may be released only with a student's permission.
